Where should you sit at Anfield?
Anfield has four separate stands. The Kop, a single huge tier behind one goal, is the most famous home end in England. The Main Stand is the tallest and newest stand along the side, and the Anfield Road Stand opposite the Kop houses the away section. For atmosphere, the Kop is unbeatable; for a full view of the game, sit in the Main Stand upper tier or the Sir Kenny Dalglish Stand.
Best seats for views
- Main Stand upper tier, close to halfway
- Sir Kenny Dalglish Stand upper tier
- Anfield Road upper tier for an end-on view
Best seats for atmosphere
- The Kop, especially the centre blocks behind the goal
- Anfield Road lower tier near the away fans, for the back-and-forth
Where do away fans sit?
Away fans sit in the Anfield Road Stand, segregated from Liverpool fans who sit to their left and in the tier above. The standard Premier League allocation is about 3,000.
| Main Stand | West | Three tiers after the 2016 expansion, with the dugouts and tunnel. Upper tier gives the best side-on view in the ground. |
| The Kop | South | Single-tier home end of about 12,800 seats. Home of the flags and the loudest singing; mostly season ticket holders. |
| Sir Kenny Dalglish Stand | East | Two tiers along the side, formerly the Centenary Stand. Good views and slightly easier to get tickets for via hospitality. |
| Anfield Road Stand | North | Expanded upper tier opened in 2024. Home fans and the away section share this end. |
